Our story

The best way to experience India is through people who live it.

We are a team brought together by a shared belief — that India is best understood not through a checklist of sights, but through the people who know it as home, understand its rhythms, and respect its complexity.

Many travellers are drawn to India and, at the same time, unsure where to begin. Its richness can feel overwhelming from the outside. We started Karmic Journeys to bridge that gap — not as a tour operator pushing packages, but as people who understand both sides: the India we live in, and the perspective of travellers who want to experience it meaningfully.

Each of us brings local knowledge from the regions we call home, along with years of working with travellers from around the world. We know what makes a journey comfortable, well-paced, and genuine — and how easily India can feel like too much without the right planning.

We don't design trips to showcase highlights alone. We focus on routes that make sense, places that reflect everyday life as much as history, and experiences that feel real rather than staged.

Travel isn't something Preeti does. It's who she is. She's built her life across two countries — India, where she's from, and Iceland, where she now lives in the remote Westfjords — and spent years designing journeys that help people feel a place rather than just tick it off. She leans toward slower trips, with time to stop, to wander, to sit with a cup of chai and watch the day go by.
